HASHEM Presentation

In this work, the Four-Letter Name of God is translated "Hashem," the pronunciation traditionally used for the Name to avoid pronouncing it unnecessarily. This pronunciation should be used when studying the meanings of the prayers. However, if one prays in English, he should say "God" or "Lord" or he should pronounce the Name in the proper Hebrew way - Adonoy - in accord with the ruling of most halachic authorities.

The "HASHEM Presentation" setting allows you to choose how the name of Hashem is presented in English.

You can access this setting by tapping the gear button on your screen or by selecting Menu > Siddur Settings. Note: Depending on your device and/or app version, this menu may look a little different.
