How do I force close the app?

The process of force closing an app (also called force quit) varies from device to device, so please scroll down to the appropriate instructions:

To force close the app on Apple devices:

  • In iOS 6:

Double-click the "home button" and a tray of apps will appear at the bottom of your screen.


Swipe right or left to find the ArtScroll Digital Library App. Once you have found it, put one finger on it and hold it there until the app icons start jiggling and a small red circle appears on top of them.


Tap on the red circle and the app will close and disappear.


 Tap the "home button" again to return to the home screen.


  • In iOS 7 & 8:

Double click the "home button" or slide four fingers up the screen of your device so that your open applications appear as small tiles on the screen with icons under them.

     


Swipe right or left to find the ArtScroll Digital Library App. Once you have found it, put one finger on it and slide it up and off the screen. The app is now closed.


 Tap the "home button" again to return to the home screen.



To force close the app on Android devices:

Go to the "Settings" menu (Gear icon).


Now tap on "Apps".


Find the ArtScroll Digital Library App and tap on it.


You will now have the option to "Force Stop" the app. Click on "Force Stop", then "Ok" and the app will close.


You can now return to your home page.


To force close the app on Kindle devices:

Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the swipe-down menu.


Tap on "More +".


Now tap on "Applications".


Tap on "Installed Applications" and find the ArtScroll Digital Library.


Tap on the ArtScroll App and you will have the option to "Force Stop" the app. Tap on "Force Stop", and then hit "OK" to close the app.

     

You can now return to your home page.
