Synchronized Highlighting

The Synchronized Highlighting of the Vilna Commentaries feature, highlights all commentaries and annotations attached to your selected phrase. So when you tap on a Talmud Phrase or use the Quickscroll to highlight a phrase, you can select if you would like just commentaries, just annotations, or both commentaries and annotations to be highlighted.

Now what are commentaries and annotations? Commentaries include Tosafos, Rashi, Musaf Rashi, Rashbam, etc. Annotations include Mesoras HaShas, Ein Mishpat, Hagaos HaBach, Torah Ohr, etc.

  • When just commentaries are turned on, your page will look like this:


  • When just annotations are turned on, your page will look like this:


  • When both are turned on, your page will look like this:

You can also tap on a Commentary or Annotation and the related Talmud phrase will highlight, this shows you what phrase the commentary is commenting on.

 

While on the English Translation Page, when a phrase is selected, the corresponding footnotes will highlight as well:
