While you are on the English Translation Page, you will see that the footnotes on the bottom window sync up with where you are in the Gemara.

As your pages move to the right, the notes sync up:

When you are in Split-Screen mode, you will see that your place on the Original Vilna Page will sync up with the English Translation Page:
