Color Coding

An innovative feature we have put into the app is color coding. With the tap of a finger your page will light up showing the Statements, Questions, Answers, Inquiries and Proofs of the Gemara.

Note: The Schottenstein elucidation breaks up the Translation of Talmud into Paragraphs to indicate where there is a new logical section in the text. The apps color coding mode superimposes this breakdown onto the Vilna page, so you can visualize where the logical blocs start and stop. It also highlights these blocks with specific colors that are a visual queue as to what happening in the logical flow of the page.

Tap on this button and it will highlight the Gemara as well as putting a "S, Q, A, I, P" to mark the beginning of a new Statements, Questions, Answers, Inquiries and Proofs. It will also hide the commentaries and annotations to focus your attention on the main Talmud section)

Tip: When is this mode, as you tap on a phrase or use the quickscroll, the connected commentaries to that phrase will appear in the white space. This is so you only see the commentaries that are explaining the current phrase.

Tip: When is this mode, if you tap on the colored circles with S.Q.A.I.P.  letters in them, the translation of the entire block will appear.

When in this mode, Split Screen will look like this:

Tap here to view the entire Original Vilna Page with just the highlights.

When the color coding is on, statement markers come up on the English Translation Page as well:
